After tonights Countdown, I think Sen Webb would be a great VP for Gore!
What do you get when you mix a visionary world leader with a respected, highly intelligent, former military officer, who understands to don't lightly move toward war. A WINNING TICKET!

I have found Sen Webb to be very impressive, and appears wise beyond his years!

What do you think DU?

5. Why do you think he voted for that anyway? That strikes me as odd...
Hmmm Wonder what he would say under cross examination?

7. Don't know Lake...
I see it as violating their oath of office...

What does it mean when they violate their oath of office? Violate the Constitution?

I see it as treason... Not to pick on Webb - the entire Congress and Senate, save a very small few, have violated their oath...

You tell me- what's going on?

3. I'd rather have a guy like Webb in the Senate.
I don't think he would control some secret powerful government like Cheney (a good thing). He would be the typical vice-president.

9. I don't know why he voted for it.
If I remember one of his quotes, "it expires in six months" That didn't satisfy me, and I was greatly disappointed in its passage. But I have admired this guy since his days as Secretary of the Navy. I am glad he is on our side, and I certainly will not give up on him that easily. He is a fighter, and that's something we need. Let's see what he does in the future.

11. I agree Rusty, I am not giving up on him either... I'm puzzled, but not...
ready to give up on him.. He has/had a son in Iraq as I'm certain most know and is not opposed to telling Shrub what he can do with his head (As in stuff it where the sun doesn't shine) ... So, I will give him a chance.

10. Webb came out hard yesterday over the Kyl Lieberman Amendment saying it was dangerous.
He talked out it tonight on Countdown.
