My nutty theory about Denver's 2008 Convention (Gore)
Edited on Fri Sep-28-07 09:23 AM by Touchdown
I went to the 1 year countdown to the DNC in Denver. There was Howard Dean, Governor Bill Ritter, and Mayor John Hickenlooper to kick it off at the Pepsi Center (the site of the convention)

The theme will be The greenest Convention in the History of American Politics. They promised an infintessimal carbon footprint, recycling of just about everything used. Use of the new wind farm out in the desert (I think), energy efficient lighting, and re-newable or recycled materials for the stage props. Mayor Hickenlooper promised to spare no expense to make this a benchmark convention by making it the greenest ever.

So why now? Do they know something about a certain former Vice President who may or may not be running in 2008 that the rest of us don't? His coy non answer/kiss to Randi Rhodes is yet one more tease. I don't think the DNC leadership/city/state officials would find this necessary just for Hillary.

...or maybe it's just the right time to go green, and I'm just to wishful in my thinking.

2. Yeah, I don't know about that one.
It isn't finished yet. Unless they put it on the fast track, it may not be ready by August.

3. Maybe they'll mount the turbines in a horizontal configurtion...
directly above the convention. The ultimate in recycling technology!

4. Hmmm.
Interesting. Maybe. Dean is a friend of Gore's and may know something is up. Wishful thinking on my part too.

Thanks for posting.
