I've been stuck in Bumfuck, South Carolina for the past week without internet access, a really bad local paper, a cable company that doesn't carry MSNBC (so no Olbermann), and a TV stuck on Faux News.

I escaped last night. What's happening?

7. I've been through there...

My wife's sister used to live in Dillon, (husband worked for WIC Filters) and we went through Loris when traveling between Dillon, and Myrtle Beach. What the hell took you there?

9. My parents live there.

My mother was put in hospice care this week, and I went up to help my dad out. I had to come home to make sure the bills get paid. So, I'm going back up next week-end with my wife.

If I'm lucky, I'll get to do breakfast in Myrtle Beach, at the Sea Captains House. Crab Cakes Benedict. Yowza!

I have done quite a bit of volunteer work at a hospice. Most are very good organizations. My thoughts are with you and your family. And, enjoy the crab cakes. They are somekinda good.

11. There was a southern lady on the Washington Journal this morning

who was suggesting internment camps for Iranians here legally. Wait - correction - there was a WINGNUT on the Washington Journal this morning. In any case, the craziest people on WJ seem to be southern Republican women, so watch your step.
