Boy, Bush Is Gonna Look Like a Real DOOFUS When He Vetoes S-CHIP & Will Lose Base.

Here in Texas S-Chip is very important; I have talked to quite a few people who rely on it. When Bush vetoes the bill to EXPAND S-CHIP, I foresee a backlash.

That man is NOT a compassionate anything. Last week's press conference where he blamed the Dems for political theatre and for possibly killing S-CHIP only served to cover up the fact that HE is trying to GUT that important program! He went on and on about how he as governor of Texas found S-CHIP so important, etc. But now he's trying to cut it, gut it, and strip it - and he knows damn well when he vetoes that bill to expand S-CHIP there's gonna be political hell to pay.

Why doesn't he want the bill expanded? Why doesn't he want to help the children? Why is he such an asshole liar? (rhetorical)

A lot of what Bush is doing makes sense only if he doesn't think he'll ever have to pay a political price for it.

Or serve hard time.
