Sally Field comments on being censored during the Emmy awards
Sally Field comments on being censored during the Emmy awards:

“I made the mistake of putting a God in front of the damned,” Field told ABC’s Diane Sawyer. “But basically, I feel if anything on Earth God would damn, it would be war. But I guess for whatever reason, they decided that God and damned together was not acceptable.”

1. Correct. You can't do that. Steph Miller's folks said they would have censored her too. nt

3. Not true.

"Technically, Field's censored words are not profane. A 2004 FCC ruling specifically stated no objection to the use of "goddamn" on TV when making a judgment on the uproar over Bono swearing at the Golden Globes in 2003 where he used more colorful language."

4. It clearly wasn't the one word. They could have bleeped
that. They cut off the better part of her sentence and cut to a shot where she couldn't be seen at all. That's out and out censorship.
