Does anyone know about the satellite coverage of Burma? |
|
CNN was mentioning that satellites were being used to try and get an idea about what was happening on the ground on Burma/Myanmar.
I saw an interview with a guy that was working with human rights org in an effort to get visual confirmation of village destruction etc...But I was wondering how quickly we were able to get information about what is happening now.

4. So When Does Myamar Go On The "Axis Of Evil" List? |
|
My bets are boooshie probably didn't know this country existed until a speechwriter threw it into that U.N. speech. The fact he used the name "Burma" shows how little he really knows/knew.
It took until now to recognize Myamar is a hell-hole? I recall similar demonstrations during a previous Bush regime and how his poppy ignored that uprising.
So now what? Invade? Sanctions?
The situation in Myamar has been known for years...it's just on our corporate media's radar right now because it gives them something to squawk about other than Iraq.

6. Its a diversion for certain. And those marching monks make great tv |
|
So we get a little coverage. It's not gonna make any Govt "list" until they find resources they want.

|
the host country supports the genocide in dafur , political repression-human rights in burma ,and the displacement of tens if not hundreds of thousand to build new venues for the "games"
