Can you tell me what we saw? |
|
We just returned to Massachusetts from a long and very nice drive to Indianapolis. Nothing exciting to see other than beautiful countryside and antiques shops on the way out. On the way home, all kinds of funny stuff going on, particularly in Ohio.
First odd sight, huge tail section, propped sideways on a flatbed rolling down the route 70, then a little later, 3 huge flatbeds with long, white tapering hollow things on board, we speculated that they were wings to drone airplanes, I'll bet they were 50 feet in length. Lots if helicopters along the way. The biggest and a little frightening and sinister thing was a plane that flew over us, military green. The plane was so huge and low, we could get a real view of its size. My other half suggested that there would be room left over if you stuffed a wingless 747 inside. Is this a military cargo plane? It was huge. Lots of other trucks with canvas covering weird shaped loads and no company logo's on them. Many military trucks of one type or another.
The whole thing made me want to get home to my family. It looked for all the world like a mass migration of evil things.
My imagination sometimes runs wild but this gave me the creeps. Is there a military base near route 70 in Ohio that would merit this kind of activity?
At home, we see very little of this type of activity. Maybe my old age has caught up with me.

7. Yes, Dayton and East from there along route 70. |
|
I probably would not have given the whole thing too much thought except that there was so much of it. That plane, however, was something to have nightmares about.

19. It was wrapped in some kind of material that looked like |
|
Tyvek. Wrapped to fit the shape of the tail section.

2. I once lived alongside a railroad track and often saw things |
|
like that on flatbed rail cars. I also have seen the same type of caravans on our freeways here. I don't know what they are moving around, airplanes or bombs, but they do it on a regular basis and have for decades.

3. Those were windmills. A wind farm is going up somewhere. |
|
I'm not saying they couldn't possibly have been giant secret government drone aircraft, but... well, actually I guess that is what I'm saying.

14. Believe me, I wasn't laughing when I posted it. |

And, it would have to have been a very long time ago that it might have been funny.

Very common site in my area. Somewhere an alternative energy supply center is being installed. And you got creep-ed out! No worries.

17. Similar but the opening on the large end was round, the other end |
|
tapered to a point with what looked like a beveled angle the last few feet. For lack of anything to compare it with, just a long, round, tapered cylinder ending with a compressed knife-like edge. I cannot see the edges on the windmill blades but the ends attaching to the pole do not look round.

12. It took me a while to figure it out.... |
|
but the other day we saw trucks hauling so huge propeller blades on the freeway. They were on their way to west Texas I am sure. You could tell they were propellers but it took a while for me to figure it out because they were so big. It was a sight to see. I was impresses-and few things catch me off guard.
