But if they do, I will blame their defeat on them and them only.
Not the Nader voters or the other third party voters, not the Republicans, not the non voters, not the media, not the corporations, not Michael Moore, not Bill O'Reilly, not even the election machines (because they don't even seem to care about that).
If the Democrats lose, it's because they decided long ago that they care not at all about their base. Not one iota. They refuse to even consider impeachment, they refuse to fight to end the war, they refuse to protect civil liberties, they refuse to do even the simplest of things, like stand in unity against a substanceless resolution by the Republicans, or take advantage of the most routine of powers, like filibustering. They are not putting in any kind of effort.
They have been given a gift in George W. Bush, the worst president in the history of the universe. If they lose, it won't be anyone's fault but their own. Let's stop pointing fingers at each other.
