Poll question: State Department's IG Howard Krongard - What should be done?
The inspector general told staffers they could be fired if they helped a congressional inquiry into Iraq contractors, alleges Rep. Waxman (D-Beverly Hills).

This, from today's LA Times. http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/nation/la-na-probe29sep29,1,165852.story?coll=la-headlines-nation

So, our State Department knows that Blackwater mercenaries are murdering people. Our State Department knows that Haliburton was stealing billions. Our State Department knew that other contractors were hired on political grounds, not for their ability to do foreign construction. Our State Department knew these things and more. And in each case, Howard Krongard stopped an investigation.

Now, he is illegally threatening his staff and ordering them NOT to cooperate with congress.

It is no surprise that in between stints in corporate law, he ran AEI's National Legal Center for the Public Interest, a neocon think tank. In fact, putting him as the IG for State is akin to placing a very hungry and powerful fox in charge of a sound-proofed hen house.

So, much like Monica Goodling and the DOJ, a variety of directors and officers fucking up EPA, INS, Social Security, the CIA, Dept. of Ag., screwing up our educashun cistern with Leave No Child's behind, destroying FEMA, NASA, DOE, DOD, HHS, Interior, and many other agencies, we now learn that Krongard has deliberately stopped investigations and protected lawbreakers, murderers, and thieves.

What should be done with Krongard?

Let's really test their looting and pillaging skills.
