I heart Mother Earth
Edited on Sun Sep-30-07 10:43 AM by RestoreGore

Just felt like saying it. Love the woman. Voted for her all my life, will vote for her again. Would like to see what was taken from her, in the first place, restored to her.

:loveya:

Which is why I also respect and love this man who loves her too and puts her above all else:

Thank you for that Mr. Gore and for your unrelenting dedication and inspiration. Even in the face of getting hit from all sides you continue on your path because it is the right path. You are truly a great man for that because this planet that more should love more is lost to us unless we follow that path.

26. Pretty Pet
looks like s/he may be a border collie mix like our Roxy is

Our Roxy is the first time I have had a female pet on purpose and I will say what a nice change that was/is. she so devoted and so sweet and she loves company just like we do. She's laying right here beside me right now too.

6. Al Gore speaking for Earth at UN Summit
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/tech/2007/09/24/intv.environment.un.gore.cnn?iref=videosearch

And to me in this video he looked like he was getting a little perturbed at Blitzer pushing him about endorsing someone and making it political again. This was about discussing ways that we as a planet must look beyond all that to do what is morally right. But far be it for a media mouthpiece to really understand that. I don't know, is it me? Or is that moral imperative on the whole really being lost here by making it political?

7. Amen, but sadly I am one of those who thinks we are out of time. The fat lady has sung and
the end of our species is nigh. Hopefully the surviving species of the eco-holocaust will heart mother earth and do better by her.

8. I will not dispute with you that the process has begun
Watching about it last night on the History Channel and seeing the ice melting in the Arctic and Greenland which is the surest harbinger of it, it is clear we have failed to do what we should have done years ago. We have no one to blame but ourselves. But I am still not giving up on her. I love her too much and I still hold out hope that we can turn enought of it around to give our children a few more decades and hope they do better with her than we did.

10. No thank you
I'm not posting with people who jump on me for my opinions. Some here have done enough to eviscerate my support for this man in the manner I choose to show it. I love this planet first and foremost and respect Mr. Gore immensely for putting that love above the petty political sideshows that go on during these seasons. He is showing he is being true to himself, his convictions, and us, and for that I applaud him and can only hope the passion he feels for mitigating this crisis spreads like a wildfire througout this planet and soon, because in the end it is the love we feel for this planet above the political BS that will either make us or break us.

13. You need to wake up. NONE of what you want for our beloved earth will come about WITHOUT Gore
in office. That's the simple truth.

If you REALLY want what you claim to want "so badly" then you would see that the majority of politicians that are running for office right now will side with the corporations who are the single leading cause of global warming. If any of them are elected, NOTHING will change and our earth is DOOMED.

NO ONE cares as much about this issue as Gore does and NO ONE is going to make the changes that he would make if elected.

If you seriously, honestly and humbly can admit that, you wouldn't have to worry about what anyone thinks about you around here. You would have everyones total respect.

Sometimes we have to admit we are wrong about things-and you are totally absolutely wrong about Gore not being the best choice politically for this country and planet.

Gore is our earths ONLY hope.

14. And you need to wake up. NONE of your political rhetoric is going to change my mind
And NO "politician" is going to accomplish much on this without what Mr. Gore is doing now. As he himself stated, this is not a political issue... only, you are not really listening to him, are you? And again, you put words in my mouth. You point out where I ever typed he was not the best choice in any way. I NEVER stated that, but I do however agree with him that without an enmasse demand from the people regarding solutions this crisis will NOT get the attention it deserves even now especially when he would be constricted by this GD war and everything else left for him to clean up that is simply not his DUTY to clean up.

You can then sit and preach to me all day long but it changes nothing in the scheme of things. I already can see here that many who are pushing him only push him for political reasons and because they want this political race to be more "fun." That is no reason for him to break the momentum on a global grassroots movement that could very well push this country over the political tipping point and move this entire world to the awakening that we need WELL BEFORE 2009.

And even then, legislation now unless VERY DRASTIC will do nothing to stop the glacier melt that is already coming to that tipping point. So to say he cannot do this unless he runs for office in this mess is simply BS. It isn't just about him, but about all of us. I see his strategy even if you don't and it involves a moral and spiritual dedication from all of us that far transcends the political bs used to push him every single day here even in total antithesis to his own words.

So now if you don't mind I don't wish to take up anymore time to debate this with people who only look at it from a "political" angle. If everyone who so suddenly cares for it now would have done so in years past we might not be in this position right now. He fought to get it out for thirty years in that stinking beltway to no avail. So excuse me if I happen to believe that his way of now going around it is making progress for the better now. And it will stay that way for me until I see that critical shift, and I will continue to tell him so every chance I get.

18. Nice photos, I love mother Earth and the humanity
which sprang from her substance.

I've always believed everybody was related, in this regard whether you believe evolution or creation makes no difference, we all spring from the same material, either way, we're family. I just hope as a family we can survive long enough to branch out in to the neighborhood and find other homes as well.

Thanks for the thread, RestoreGore
