Can the Video Forum be filtered a bit???

I'm not sure this is the right place to raise this, but there's two types of videos in the video forum that just grate my nerves, and IMHO do not add much to the overall discussion -- the "Headz Up" cartoons and that gray haired guy who screeches and carries on.

I think the video forum is extremely valuable -- it's just those two types of posts float around like dead weevils in a bowl of cereal, or sand in a spinach salad, or half a worm in an apple... well, you get my point.

After reading the DU rules, I think this post is okay -- If not, feel free to delete it. I'm not trying to argue any policy, just wondering if others are irritated by these two types of posts. I know we all get irritated by one post or another, it's just that I think these dilute the value of the video forum. On the other hand, maybe most people enjoy them and it's just me.

I especially get irritated when I'm led to believe it's a serious video and it turns out that it's some put together "comic" thing.

The fact that he's so dead on common sensical juxtaposed with acid freak delivery makes him worthwhile. :-)


You can always use the hide thread feature, if you don't want to look at those kinds of posts. :-)

When I see a really good video and come back a few hours later, it's often been crowded off the front page by "Headz Up" and the screechy guy. I think the more important videos should hang around longer on the main page. But I guess one can always go to the video forum itself and ignore the annoying ones.
