I don't watch or read the corporate media so on the weekends, I mostly rely on LBN.

Has anyone said ANYTHING?

1. Okay. I remember a time when the leadership would have issued
a statement. Let alone the people running for the highest office in this land.

What, exactly, is going on here?

3. I found Obama's statement from earlier in the week:
http://obama.senate.gov/press/070926-senator_obama_s_1/

Quick Googling got me nothing from anyone else. I don't know if that means they didn't say anything or what.

http://www.kerryvision.net/2007/09/burmese_protests_continue_desp.html , from earlier this week, before it got worse. Here is another link with some of the text. http://www.kerryvision.net/2007/09/kerry_urges_us_to_stand_with_b.html (Both also link to some excellent non-Kerry sources of information on it.

In addition here is his press release:

7. Well, when they can't speak to restoring habeaus corpus I don't look for
them to say anything meaningful about New Orleans, Military Commissions Act, the P.A.T.R.I.O.T Act(s) or bush's signing statements, executive orders and directives much less Burma. Sorry.

I haven't heard our Dems say a word about Burma. The only one who I know who has publically come out is....................Laura Bush!

11. Well, one thing is for certain.....we must not impeach!
Instead we should wait until after the general election and see if whoever is elected president will of his/her volition give up the unitary executive powers bush has gleaned from his years in office.

That's the prudent way, don't you think? :sarcasm:

(Sorry I had to add the sarcasm thing but some of the opinions I've read here today....well, let's just say, astound me. Politics above all else....even the Constitution?!)
