1. Depends what GOPig gets the nomination

if someone like Romney gets it...gay rights, abortion, and anything the Christian fundy nuts push for will be used as wedge issues. If Guliani gets it it will be "law and order" type things, flag burning, he will try and justify censorship. Both will use immigration.

4. I think tax cuts is one issue they abuse as well

in the sense of : why would it be bad if everyone paid 100 dollar extra taxes per person, but had world-class healthcare for free? We belgians don't mind at all.

The amount of taxes is relevant only in relation to the services the govenment gives. Right now, I'd guess about half a dollar per tax dollar is going to defense. Bit much?
