|
Edited on Sun Sep-30-07 05:11 PM by AZDemDist6
and if I want my candidates to work for me, I have to support them so they don't have to take money from the corporate donors
It's my way of taking my party back.

But if you seriously think that your money is going to force Hillary from taking corporate money...that's just not going to happen.

so many moan and complain about the Dems but won't put their time or money on the line to change it.
many do, but I don't need to be preaching to the choir. if we all sent in $20 or 50 or 100 or 1000 bucks, our candidates wouldn't need corporate money, but it ain't gonna happen

Donating to any Democratic candidate is a good thing. I am not an avid Hillary supporter, but should she win the nominaton, you can bet I will be. I support all of the Democratic candidates right now, some more than others. There are days where I get so miffed I think about not voting, though that is absolutely not an option for me. No one who supports Hillary should be ashamed. Only those liberals who don't vote should be ashamed.

Have you narrowed down your candidates to a lower number?
I'm STILL at two, down from six. But there is still time.

26. My Money Goes To The "Undercard" |
|
$100 for a start-up campaign will go a longer way than money for any of the Presidential candidates and is far more rewarding for me. I've been chipping in with dozens of campaigns so far and plan to continue to do so to ensure not only there are bigger Democratic majorities in 2009, but also more Progressive candidates as well.
There are many campaigns that could use help right now...a critical time for those who face either primary fights or against an entrenched Repugnican. The top tier gets all the publicity and "bundlers"...I'm not out to buy influence, I'm trying to build a party.

28. my little donation won't stop me from supporting my local party to the max |
|
hell, I pay for most of the stuff I do for them out of pocket anyway since our County budget is zilch
if I want flyers or door hangers, I make em myself, I use my cell phone minutes to phone bank and our meetings are luncheons and we pass a basket
it costs money to work for the party around here (just kidding, sorta...)
and I'll be laying out $100 here and $100 there for the congressional and local races I'm sure

I've seen your posts in the past...IRC, you worked on a bunch of campaigns in '06. I do the same here...and am working now with a challenger for the blue dog in my district. It's not glamorous, but rewarding as all hell knowing you're doing something.
I see a lot of people obsessed with the Presidential beauty pagent...I'm taking a pass on that one.
Cheers...
