How do you and your candidate match up? |
|
Be true to yourself, to your country and your world... vote the candidate that sees things the way you do. For me it's Gravel over Kucinich... not those Republocrats in the upper right. To take the test to see how you navigate your political ship, check in on this thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=389x1946492

5. America is a lot more right wing than I thought it was. |
|
Actually, I'm feigning surprise. I already knew America was a right wing country. Dennis Kucinich's positions are more at home in west Europe than here. It's a commentary of American culture. Whether you view it as an indictment of American culture is up to you.

9. From the notion that through individual hard work you can succeed. |
|
Edited on Sun Sep-30-07 10:09 PM by Selatius
Naturally, this may come into conflict with more collectivist notions of obtaining a goal through cooperation with others. No small wonder the US is the only industrialized country with no Labor Party, unlike those seen in Europe and why the US has no national health insurance program, widely adopted, again, in Europe.
Of course, this explanation is grotesquely over-simplified, but you're asking a question that begs a response 10,000 words long.

7. Are these based on these politicians' voting records or |
|
something -- IOW, how can they extrapolate where these folks would be on this graph without these folks actually answering the same questions I just answered?
Btw, I'm a little left-libertarian of DK -- okay -- more than just a little :)

8. That looks like the visual from the libertarian site |
|
that tries to make everybody think they're libertarians.
Why not check out their voting records? Why not compare the ones still in office at Progressive Punch?
That visual is meaningless.

by how right wingish our candidates are.....this tells a story I am sad and reluctant to accept.......we are screwed....that's how I feel. I am going to start campaigning for Kucinich and hope for the best.
