Barak Obama to the Supreme Court?
Interesting conversation this AM on the Diane Rehm show mostly about slappy and his brand new book (alledgedly an AUTObiography) and one of the panelists said if Hillary Clinton is elected President she may appoint Obama to the Supreme Court.

2. That would be delicious...
Although a very assertive and intelligent WOMAN would need to follow for the next vacancy, perhaps another black female to counter ole Clarence.

8. Actually I think he'd be good on the US Supreme Court and the Dem Governor of IL could replace him
in the Senate.

12. Is He Really Qualified?
To my knowledge, Senator Obama has never really practiced law, yet had any experience in being a judge. I'm sure there are other very capable African-Americans with experience in serving on the bench and with a strong background on the Constitution and the law. Thrugood Marshall made his reputation working on civil rights cases in the 50's and early 60's...including presenting cases in front of the SCOTUS. The qualification shouldn't be skin color and would be a slap at the many African-Americans who work in the legal system.

13. He's a constitutional scholar, and former civil rights lawyer
As an associate attorney with Miner, Barnhill & Galland from 1993 to 1996, he represented community organizers, discrimination claims, and voting rights cases. He was a lecturer of constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1993 until his election to the U.S. Senate in 2004.

Obama knows the constitution, of that much I am certain.
