WTF! 12 More Years of Corrupt Elections? *** Get Back! HR811 ***
Not sure if thats a catchy headline or not. But it is high time to have some threads hereabouts about getting HR811 back on the legislative programme.

That the bill has lost its way is a tragedy - something ought to be done.

Simple fact is the election reform movement has been abandoned by its champions in Congress.

How? Why? Is it the money? Is it the DREs?

Whatever it is we need to get back to work to get these election reform champions back on the case - and we need them to get back now.

What can we do to kick start a "Get Back! HR811" campaign?

Scoop is more than willing to do its part to interview key players in the debate in D.C. - who should we talk to? If anyone has any inside info about what is going on in D.C.that they need to share more discretely email me personally at alastair@scoop.co.nz

P.S. And please people lets be constructive - talk solutions and strategies - not people (and motives) to blame. Truth is it is not DU or Bev Harris's fault that HR811 has struck another sandbank. Neither Bev nor DU nore indeed the ER movement as a whole have the influence to control navigation of this bill. There are big forces at work here are we need to engage with them intelligently and not exhibiting any of the characteristivs of an incoherent rabble.
