http://www.nrdcactionfund.org/campaigns/wildlife/save-endangered-gray-wolves.htmlNRDC is running an ad/comment campaign to stop the shooting of over 600 gray wolves this winter, mostly baited and from helicopters. This "sport" should make any REAL hunter vomit.

I propose that if someone has to kill something THAT BADLY, we issue them licenses to KILL EACH OTHER.
Charge them $25 Grand each. I'd bet we'd get enough to put a serious dent in the deficit. Wouldn't last forever though.
You know, I'm a gun owner with very little issue with hunting, but I think if you want to hunt wolves, you should have to do it in a loincloth and moccasins with a bow and arrow.

6. What a hoot! You are absolutely right. If you're going to hunt, then hunt. |
|
If you're gonna cheat, hunt each other! Love it.

I posted a link to them a few days ago. Glad to see another thread on the subject to give it more exposure.
(But beware of the ignoramuses who may pop up to say "Well, the wolves are driving the prey species extinct, so they 'need' to be 'controlled.'" Never mind that somehow in the tens of thousands of years that wolves and caribou have co-existed, neither has reached the verge of extinction until humans blundered in....)

4. I knew one of those idiots once. |
|
He used to shoot hawks; claimed they killed off all the pheasants and rabbits HE wanted to kill.
I had the distinct pleasure of turning him in to the Dept. of Natural Resources. His fine was IMMENSE and they took both his GUN and his PICKUP TRUCK.

I don't have a problem with hunting if one is going to eat what one kills (I have pets who eat live prey, after all, and it's the way of nature), but when it's for "pleasure" or for trophies, it's just bloodlust and absolutely unforgivable.
