So how concerned is the Bush Crime Family about Blackwater's freewheeling massacres and unchecked power in Iraq? Not too much. In fact, Bush's (Cheney's?) State Department official report of the deadly September 16 incident was written by . . . . wait for it . . . . a Blackwater employee using the official letterhead of the Bureau of Diplomatic Security for the U.S. embassy's Tactical Operations Center!

The man who approved the report was Ricardo Colon, whom the embassy source identified as the embassy's deputy regional security officer. A State Department source confirmed a Ricardo Colon Cifredo works in Iraq for the State Department. No wonder Condi's been in hiding recently.

As the Church Lady would say: "how conveeeenient." The unrestricted group responsible for the murders of innocent Iraqis have free reign to pen their own version of the slaughter, then pass it off as an official, unbiased State Department incident "spot report."

No wonder there is a growing dissent between the used and abused U.S. soldiers in Iraq and the private contractors who now outnumber them. That's right, there are more civilians working for private contractors in Iraq than there are troops on the ground. When wounded soldiers have to pay full retail price for clean underwear and cobble together their own body armor while their counterparts in private security tote the latest sophisticated weaponry and play on the Internet all day, you've got a problem.

When the soldiers carrying 70-pound packs and scratching by on a few hundred dollars a week are outnumbered by mercenaries who make that much in an afternoon, and when the first group is held accountable for their action and the second group is allowed to shoot at anything and everything in their path, that's a recipe for disaster. A ticking time bomb. And that's only what's been reported in the news. Who knows what other atrocities are happening outside of media scrutiny.

the mouse button/touch pad button also click on the ctrl (control) button. for example try control clicking on this image & a menu should come up- then you can use one of the options. I hope that helps.

69. I figured out a few years ago that NCLB was inteneded to make

students, parents and teachers not like school so much, in addition to my original thinking; to defund public schools further so that the rwingnuts can complain about how the schools don't function anymore. So I'm in tune to their complaints for the past 5 yrs.

I can't believe that I'm considering putting the older 2 on a plane for Europe next May without either of the parental units! Wish us luck!

I'm sure your boys will be fine. Where will they be going? When I was a sophomore in HS, I went to France with my French teacher and it was a wonderful experience. It was my mom's way of alleviating her guilt over not being able to afford to send me to Catholic HS. I don't know why she felt guilty, I was relieved not to have to spend another four years being psychologically abused by nuns.

It is a school trip and I didn't get to go to France, Italy and Spain when I was in school, so it is a gift to them. They'll be spending most of their time in Germany, then on to Austria and Switzerland.

I jokingly told them that they need to learn, 'where am I?', 'where's the nearest restroom?', and 'my parents never voted for Bush**' in 3 different languages! :rofl:

Actually, if they only learn it in German, they'll probably be ok. German is spoken in Austria, and I'm sure a lot of people in Switzerland speak German as well. German and French phrase books will help them with anything they'll need to communicate. Make sure you tell them to always say "Good morning" "Good day," Europeans are much more polite than we are when it comes to that kind of thing.

What Mr. s and I found when we were in England and France was that people would bring up politics very carefully, as if they were feeling us out to see where we fell on the political spectrum. Once we revealed ourselves to be sane, they seemed quite comfortable discussing it with us. I don't think they'll have any problems with that. I kind of got the feeling if we had been supporters of the Chimp, that those coversations wouldn't have gone on any further.

Thanks for the info., for some reason I was thinking that Austrians spoke a derivative of German, although different. Switzerland would be Slavic languages and French. LuLu is not feeling well. She has a little diarrhea and she was throwing up clear liquid. She hasn't been too peppy for 2 days. I am taking her in for blood work Thursday morning. :-( This could be the end, or it could be a touch of something. I'm trying to deal with it. Not doing so well.

Sesame and the gang are doing well, getting into trouble. A visitor cat got stuck in the yard yesterday and it's so funny to see Sesame go right up to it and just stare. LOL She just kills me. Finally Mr. Cat escaped, I think up over the roof.

My lone cat, HAC, is on high alert as the cats that Nosy kept run out of the yard have been coming around for the sole purpose of jumping on her. I've broken up more cat fights during the past couple of weeks than I can count - 2 today! Apparently the door to the pool house was left open and a cat got in there. She smelled it and stared pissing, I was loudly stating no, picking her up and getting her out of there, and then proceeded with rounds 1 and 2 of cleaning.

She's not done anything close to that in a while...stressed I think!

LuLu circles her litter box 4 or 5 times, then finally pees on the outside of it. I have plastic, towels, then paper towels down. She goes on the paper towels. It's kindof funny. She goes round and round, and every once in a while she'll actually go into the box. I call it the Royal Box.
