Limbaugh's "Tell it to my it to my face, Reid" bit is hilarious

A guy who hides in his Fla. compound acting like he's some tough guy.
A guy who spends his time on air debating audio tapes and other inanimate objects while hiding behind call screeners trying to make this point.
The man invented the so-called "unguested confrontation" format in which guys with Napoleon complexes can get behind a mic, thump their chest and act like they're fighting, while never having to face any opposition.
I remember hearing Rush spend a half hour once acting like he was giving Tim Robbins hell over his legendary "A Chill Wind" speech. Rush did nothing but play the tape and yell at it. The whole time I was thinking that if Robbins met him on neutral ground (whre Rush has no control of the format) for a debate, Tim would detroy the drug addict. Hell, anyone on DU could. But we'd never get on the show. The only time the cystboy takes opposition is when it's some stutterer or an 80+ senile old guy. On the freak chance a real opponent gets through, he uses the pathetic "hit the mute button, talk til commercial, then dump the call" trick

Public discourse is dying. I'm so sick of this Springer Show Guest-style of discussing things, whether it's rush, o'reilly or whoever. Can't we lose these cowardly emotionally disturbed man-0children from our airwaves once and for all? Politics is a little too important for these guys to occupy the airwaves in some sad attempt to fulfill an adolescent fantasy
