When Republicans say they support the troops.

The Republicans have used so called fiscal responsibility, morality, states rights, term limits and support the troops for political advantage for 27 years now.

In the 1950's they used communism.

You need to realize their standards only apply to others and never to themselves.

If Republicans really cared about the above you would not have

Many prominent Republicans violating their own sexual morality codes and personal morality codes with quite a few Republicans going to jail for sexual crimes, crimes of bribery.

Republicans violating their own states rights principles to go to the Supreme court when the Florida Supreme Court ruled in favor of Al Gore who actually won Florida and appeared on the way to get a recount, but the Republicans went to the Supreme Court to fix the election.

Republicans violating their own term limits promises after they won on term limit platforms in their campaigns for congress.

For 27 years Republican administrations racking up huge deficits while screaming everyone else does not act fiscally responsible. What a laugh.

The Republicans secretly raising taxes in other forms and then screaming how Democrats want to raise taxes to an inflationary appropriate level. Republicans rarely take inflation and per capita factors into account when they scream that other people want to raise taxes.

Republicans mainly do not care about the troops except when they set the troops up as human shields for their congressional and presidential campaigns.

Oh yeah Republicans support the troops, that's why Republicans did not give the troops enough body armor and did not send enough troops and fired General Shinseki when he suggested we needed 400,000 troops in this god awaful invasion of Iraq.

Yes Republicans love the troops and that appears why the Walter Reed scandal happened under Republican management of Walter Reed. That's why Republicans increased fees and copayments for medical service at VA facilities

Republicans only care about the troops and veterans in election campaigns but only to the extent they prop themselves in front of them at campaign events.

Oh and when you ask Mitt Romney about his 5 sons or some other prominent Republican or Republican Hitler youth why they haven't served they usually say we're serving here in another way.

Yes, serving their wealthy benefactors.
