Coulter: If we took away women's right to vote, we'd never have to worry about Dems
RAW STORY
Published: Wednesday October 3, 2007

In an interview with the New York Observer, plagiarist , conservative commentator and media doyenne Ann Coulter left this choice quote, which the Observer highlighted as "On women:"

COULTER: If we took away women's right to vote, we'd never have to worry about another Democrat president. It's kind of a pipe dream, it's a personal fantasy of mine, but I don't think it's going to happen. And it is a good way of making the point that women are voting so stupidly, at least single women.

It also makes the point, it is kind of embarrassing, the Democratic Party ought to be hanging its head in shame, that it has so much difficulty getting men to vote for it. I mean, you do see it’s the party of women and 'We’ll pay for health care and tuition and day care -- and here, what else can we give you, soccer moms?'

45. Has any ever asked Coulter to set an example?
I think she and the women who agree with her "dream" should set an example for the rest of us - Coulter & Co. should all just stop voting.

Men who feel the same way, should also refrain from voting as a sign of support for the women who aren't voting...

3. What a shill.
There is, essentially, only one political party in Congress..
the business party.

It's convenient for the corporofascist power elite to make
people think there are still two parties, and it's distracting
and divisive to pit one against the other as if they're
different.

20. Right on time. New book coming out, outrageous statements spewing forth.
Yawn, yeah, whatever Coltergeist. She says these things to get everybody up in arms, sell a few books and drag her black mini dress covered skanky ass on Faux News to laugh about the uproar. Wonder when the MSM will realize she is inconsequential? Her books are "best sellers" because the reichwing stink tanks buy them in bulk to give away with a donation. Her last book went directly into the 99¢ bin one month from release date.

And forget rethuglicans hanging their heads in shame over this sub-human. Young Rethuglicans have altars for Coltergeist set up in their dorm rooms and whack off to her picture every chance they get. She is who they want to be when they grow up.

What mystifies me . . .
Is what is the point of this "argument"? That women or blacks or any other identifiable group that votes for Democrats shouldn't vote? That their issues, as citizens, don't count? That only people who vote correctly should be allowed to vote? Or, since Ms. Coulter brings up the notion of intelligence, that there should be some kind of test for prospective voters?

It seems to me that someone voting for the party that looks out for their interests is actually voting intelligently. Ms. Coulter's "argument" is also used by racist commentators who claim that African-Americans who as a group vote so heavily for Democratic candidates are similarly benighted. Yet, when the NAACP put on a candidates' forum for the GOP, none of the leading contenders could be bothered to show up. Since the GOP doesn't show up for women, or African Americans, or Hispanics or anyone else except overrich layabouts on sinecures, why should any typical voter in his or her right mind back the GOP? Now that would be stupid.

I fucking hate this woman with all of my being.

Someone needs to douse her in ice water and remind her why she has that cushy job writing this drivel and making tv and radio appearances all the time. It's certainly not because of women like her.

Disgraceful.

58. but I believe this is what she thrives on

"I fucking hate this woman with all of my being."

Hate in any of us, even if it's socalled righteous hate,
just feeds the agenda of hateful people.. think about it.

Hateful people cultivate hate. Everybody has the seed
of hate in them.. some cultivate it, some don't. If cultivated, it
provides the nourishment for everything hateful.

31. Dems should start referring to Ann as the "White House Spokesperson."
Or the RNC spokesperson. When either organization comes out and denies she's their spokesperson or denounces whatever outrageous statement she made, then you cause a split between her and that organization, and the Republican base gets taken along for the ride.

It's a wonderful Bartcop tactic. If the neutered Congresscritters had any sack, they'd be employing this little trick.

40. I think she is the stupid-voting single woman
that she is so fond of bashing.

I have voted Democratic both as a married woman and as a single woman for more than 20 years. I still remember the day my then-husband and I were standing in line waiting to vote at my first election. He very confidently was going on and on about how I would be so glad to finally have a Repuglican president, since I was doing my duty as a good wife and voting the way my husband told me to. It came as somewhat of a shock to his fundy, fake Christian ass when I told him that I hadn't seen anyone yet with an R behind their name that would induce me to vote other than for the Democrat.

Huh, all these years later, and I still smile.

If anything, she performs a service. She's a walking, talking, venom-regurgitating example of what so many conservatives truly believe in but have the better judgment not to say. As such, she manages to discredit the conservative movement again and again by exposing its true colors for all to see. I'm guessing that a number of independent and moderate female voters will take pause after hearing this latest outburst.
