Billboard should read: WHY DOES BUSH HATE CHILDREN?
Edited on Wed Oct-03-07 09:56 AM by Blue_Roses
What a sorry SOB. It's not enough that he lied us into an illegal war, killing our kids, but now he has vetoed added funding for a HEALTH CARE PROGRAM FOR KIDS! CHIPS is not welfare. I'm sure Bush looks at it as welfare therefore, I'm sure he says, "fuck it," while clicking his pen to veto, but in reality, CHIPS uses private doctors and hospitals and there is a deductible and co-pay paid for services. I know, 'cause my kids are on it. We PAY for this Mr. BUSH, you son-of-a-bitch.

Of all the fucking gall...there are not enough words to describe the anger I feel for this narcissistic, arrogant, dumb ass right now...:argh:

There is a special place in hell for him and his greedy friends.

8. They spend more in a week in Iraq, than this would cost per year
It's not about money.

It's about the fact that the core Republican philosophy goes against the beliefs and opinions and desires of the vast majority of americans. American's supported this bill by close to 4 to 1.

The Republican philosophy is that it's better to let private companies gouge customers even if it means that millions of poor people won't be able to afford basic service. If unopposed they would privatize everything, even the military and police. Heck they've already started doing it with Blackwater. The core of the Republican party hates our country. They hate it, and our constitution, and it's people. At best, they're indifferent to it, and have a 'get me mine' mentality.

A vote for a Republican is a vote against America.

Kids can't vote. Insurance companies have very well-paid lobbyists. Follow the money!

6. It should also read
Bush admits that when given an option people recognize that universal single payer health care is cheaper and better than private plans. It's the reason he vetoed it.

If the government plan were to cost people more money and provide worse care, than a plan in the private sector he wouldn't have opposed it, at least on the same grounds. He might have opposed it as being useless. The problem is that sChip provides children with better health care, for less money, than any private plan availble by a long shot.

Oh and it costs less per year than we spend in Iraq in a week.

This veto ranks up there in the top ten of the worst things Bush has ever done. It's getting hard to find a place in that list, but this one does it imho.

10. He wants to raise a generation of Super Soldiers who can survive to adulthood without medical care.
What kind of message does it send to America's enemies when we only field armies of soldiers who have had a life of vaccinations?

14. It seems to be a prevailing attitude among some posters here..
that it really makes no difference whether you have a Dem or a repub in the White House, if one of the "mainstream" candidates gets elected. I think you have a good point, in that Clinton, a centrist DLC'er, would have signed that into law. There's a difference.

day, while giving a speech in Harlem to drum up support for the extension of NCLB, started by saying. "Childrens do learn" Video link below!

23. Good luck in getting the now private company Clear Channel to put a billboard up for you...
Edited on Wed Oct-03-07 12:59 PM by calipendence
Now you can't even appeal to their stockholders! Why have we again given a private company such monopolistic power?

And they're f'in us with shutting down KLSD, and their "left handed" billboards supposedly promoting it!

But they and even Viacom celebrate right talkers from their point of view!
