2. Oh well, money talks..I used
to live in the poorer section of La Jolla in the '70's and '80's and I know they're gonna fix their sink holes.

Wonder what those bush voters are thinkin' now..have any of them reconsidered?

5. La Jolla has poor sections?
I don't think there is any home or condo within the area considered to be "La Jolla proper" that sells for under $1 million now.

8. The region the sink hole is in is not LaJolla proper, its Mt. Soledad.
Not a poor area by any stretch but one that has its share of condos vs houses.

9. Mt. Soledad is part of La Jolla

Ask anyone who lives on Mt. Soledad. That is some of the most expensive real estate in California per square foot.

10. Right.."poorer" section...back in
the late '40's when my former husband's dad came home from the war he bought the house on Tyrian Street about 4 blocks from Windansea Surfing spot, for $25,000 and now with the redoing and every other thing it's worth, no doubt, at least 1/2 a Mil. It's not very big.

But, my son started surfing there and then he went to Kauai when he graduated La Jolla Get High in '85 to really surf. And now many years later I'm going back to Kauai when I retire in 3 years, to do it in a healthy style, and hang out with Tim and his new wife when the mood strikes. B-)

6. I hear you on the rich nbhd comment, but a sinkhole is a more immediate concern than a pothole.
Are there other sinkholes being ignored in less affluent parts of town?

7. What utter BS! The main artery on Mt. Soledad is now unuseable for who knows how long
Here's are some pictures

Around 9:15 am

Around 10:15 am -

That is alot more pressing an issue than potholes.
