Here's what happened: Anderson's orders, and the orders of 1,161 other Minnesota guard members, were written for 729 days. Had they been written for 730 days -- one day more -- the soldiers would receive those benefits to pay for school.

7. That's fairly standard abuse....like being deployed for 1 day short

of getting full pay for that particular deployment

or making it one day short to not count as a full deployment...so they can resend you later - and sooner - because the other days didn't count (they have attempted a fix to that one since 2003)

I've seen it repeatedly for almost 2 decades in one form or another...

It is yet another gross and egregious criminal endeavor of a government gone off its moorings against its own citizens, made doubly outrageous by the added slap being delivered after nearly two years of hazardous service.
