A "political compass" is NOT a definition of human existence or worth or behavior..
If anything, MOST of humanity HATES "political compasses" because ONLY THE POWERFUL BODY-POLITIC WANTS TO DEFINE AND PRICE OUR LIVES on some worthless scale.

SO, if you want to be a member of the common lot of human beings who have no say in the BODY-POLITIC, and you prefer to disengage from another test proposed to test your 'position' on that BOARD,...

Check in here as a participant in another game: the game of progressive human potential.

1. I don't like tests either
They are expedient, but not correct.

2. I must've missed where anyone here
demanded that the results of that survey be tattooed on our foreheads and that we have to relocate to live with our own kinds.

Yeah, no test is perfect, but that compass is a hell of a lot better than a linear scale of "left" and "right." And, for what it's worth, I agreed with where it placed me. It seemed pretty accurate.

3. To quote Albus Dumbledore: "It is our choices that define us."
I made my choices against the death penalty, for health care, and against fascism, and I want politicians who have made those same choices and stand for the same things.

5. It's not
Especially considering some of the loudest self-proclaimed liberals are just as bigoted as their conservative cousins.

It's our actions that define us as people. Beliefs often inform our behavior, but not always.

7. I would be willing to bet that you can both participate in a
test designed to gauge your political compass AND be interested in progressive human potential.

I am not real clear on where your angst over the political compass thing stems from.
