Please Post War Funding Vote Excuses from your Senator here:
A quick glace through the MSM sites reveals not much residual news from that crazy 92-3 vote yesterday. More or less business as usual, the war marches on into year 6. More news about "Britney Spears Loses Children" or the baseball playoffs - Go Rockies!

I wish I could line up every DEM that voted yes yesterday (and a couple of rethugs - Hagel and Snowe) and simply ask - what the fuck were you thinking? I went to Barbara Boxer's home page and saw not a dang mention of it. Oh, she was rightly upset with Shrub's veto of CHIP, but no mention as to why after being such a consistent anti-war advocate, she voted YEA yesterday. Reid, Brown, Wyden, Kennedy....just look at all the folks who seem to preach a timeline tied to funding rhetoric, but are unwilling to back it up.

This news is already drifting to the back of the newspaper. Before everyone forgets, please post any excuse, apology, mea culpa, or pandering, bumbling, irrationality from your Senator that attempts to justify their action. Like Shrub's veto of CHIP - maybe they think we will just forget it and move on? When is sweep week? I hardly watch TV.

I want to know why they betrayed us? I want to know do they take our votes for granted?

So, hear any good explanations from your Senator today?

peace~ :)

1. Well, Ben Nelson at least voted for SCHIP. But he won't vote to defund
the war--no way in hell. He wouldn't even vote for Levin-Reed a couple weeks ago (though Hagel did). Hagel is another who would never vote to defund the war--never ever ever--even said in a speech that it would be a disaster. AND he voted against SCHIP, even though he's retiring and doesn't need to worry about his stupid precious ACU rating anymore--how do you reason with someone like that? So we're a mixed bag out here in Nebraskee, and there's not much you can threaten Hagel with--and Nelson isn't in any danger either.
