1. Just experiencing the wonders of the "free market". |

I made the mistake of buying a coffee pot at Wal-Mart about a year ago. After making the first pot of coffee, a small fire on the side of the pot's warming plate caught and melted the plastic around it. Luckily I saw it and unplugged it before it started a major fire in my house. I returned it to Wal-Mart and they wanted to give me a replacement of the same make and model. I guess they wanted to be sure my house burnt down.
There are a lot of unsafe products and food out there so be very careful everyone. This is not the country it was six years ago. You can't trust that you are buying safe products.

2. I've had several items from Wal-Mart that were unsatisfactory |
|
I just took them in told the Customer Service Rep and asked for my money back. In some cases they just take it back, give you the money, and don't even ask if you want it replaced. I know that in some big stores I have had a hard time about this. I suppose, like everything it depends on the local management.
