question: how is military resistance viewed by the public and media in the US?

That's my question: how are conscientious objectors or those refusing to deploy to Iraq or Afghanistan viewed by the general public and how they are portrayed in the media in the US?

I would guess things have changed as opposition to the Iraq war in particular grows. Is that true?

1. We don't hear much about COs or resisters here, actually, we

don't hear anything. The msm is funny that way. LT Watada is going back on trial and I haven't even heard this on the news:

The people who get a bit more attention are the people affiliated with VoteVets. There's a big brouhaha going on over here over Rush Limbaugh calling soldiers 'phony'.

...the phony soldier story but somehow wasn't connecting it to my question. I'm guessing that's because I don't consider Rush the media ;-)
