Attention Democratic Candidates. A PSA: The Lesson of the Ron Paul campaign
Dr. Paul raised in excess of $5,000,000 in the last reporting period. That's right up there in McCain territory and better than some of our guys.

Here's the lesson, candidates: Ron Paul is ANTI Iraq War.

All the rest is bullshit. That's the only rational part of his platform.

We now return to our regularly scheduled triangulating and pandering.

1. "Triangulating"
Doesn't work. Anyone who isn't firmly committed for or against the war is dead asleep and has been since 2003.

I have to wonder why our party is so afraid of being anti-illegal war

2. The pulse of the central Ohio suburbs -
This is currently Republican held territory, but in the election in 2006, this county went HEAVY Dem. Small victory and we will see how it goes in 2008.

That said, this is a perfect example of surbia soccer mom SUV drivin latte drinking health club member Banana Republic and A&F shoppin middle America.

I have seen TWO magnetic signs on the side of cars in a small community (40,000 ish) dead center Ohio. These cars have both been what I call teenager cars...thew hand me down that the new driver gets, and hangs on to for awhile. Both cars have been loaded the young, voting age people simply laughing and pulling in to a retail establishment.

One sign - Kucinich 2008

The other? - Ron Paul For President

This is what our young people are thinking.

3. If only it was that simple...
Then Dennis Kucinich would be the fund raising leader! But he does not pander, therefore he is not in good graces with the party elite. No BIG names are sending him $$$.

Unfortunately, most of the DEMS on The Hill are not listening to their constituents.

I would be thrilled if somehow Ron Paul gained ground on Rudy and Mitt. Aside from his anti-war views, he is mostly a plain ol red state rethug. Ron just mixes things up at debates and keeps the war mongers on the defensive.

5. I would be thrilled as well
He is batshit insane, but at least the sheeple will WAKE up and quit believing what the MSM tells them to think.

A Ron Paul gain on the empty suits would give the STOP THE STUPID WAR movement a lot more noise.

(Even though from what I have seen, the war is not what his supporters are frothing at the month over. The nazis think he is one of them as per Stormfront and the RW 'libertarians' want the IRS to be ruled illegal)
