Iran and Syria in new oil deal
http://feeds.bignewsnetwork.com/?sid=287989

Under the agreement, Iran will export three billion cubic metres of natural gas annually to Syria.

State television said that the exports are set to start in 2009 and will be worth one billion dollars to Iran annually.

The gas will be supplied to Syria via its northern neighbour Turkey, which already receives Iranian gas through a pipeline linking the northern city of Tabriz and Ankara.

2. so?

Hmmm... What about treating other countries as friends and potential trading partners rather then enemies?
That attitude will go much further to promote a standard of living of everybody than war and sanctions are.

It seems to me that the Good vs Evil propaganda is even getting to progressives on DU. Scary. Isn't it?

3. They are doing this in spite of implied threats from the US
Iran and Syria are 2 of the countries we are actively rattling sabers at.

4. Yes
Syria was supposed to be next on the list, but Iran butted in. Looks like the US will try for a 2 for one offer.

6. Who said we lost?
Over 1 million Iraqis are dead, and that required a minimal number of troops to accomplish, and we can blame most of it on the victims. "Sectarian strife, you know."

Meanwhile, Bushco is making TRILLIONS skimming all the money coming into the country and privatizing their services.

Why do you think Bush looks so happy while pretending to be stupid? "Those idiots think that I'm the idiot! Wait til they get the bill for this!"

7. We The People (the U.S.) lost.
Bu$hler & Co. of have-more's won big-time (but their "win" is "short-term" and that's where their idiocy comes in, unless they "convert" all their "big" numbers in gold before the value of the dollor reaches zero, and worse, even all their ill-gotten gold will do them no good after global warming - or climate change - will have brought global hunger along with it, and every "lower-class" joe blow under them will be as good as dead meat: who's gonna cook them anything - when there'll be nothing left to eat - then?).

8. Let me scare you a bit
These short term gains have been translated into long term wins. The falling dollar? They have gold, oil and Euros. Climate change? They're building underground cities like Mount Weather. They can even survive a nuclear winter with those, so who cares of they start WWIII? Global hunger? Not for them. They don't like us anyway, so a nice global dieout would suit them just fine. Where will they get food? They can grow it hydroponically, and they'll have their chosen slaves to cook it and serve it to them as they indulge with their favorite pleasure slaves.

They have it all worked out...but they think we're too stupid to see it. That's a mistake on their part.

9. What a sad world they'd be "surviving" in...
I wouldn't want to live under these conditions.

If so (if we can't stop them - and climate change - in time), they can have it.

I'm not interested (to live in such "dull" conditions).

10. Russia and China have also built and stocked underground shelters
The USA.... uh... at NMSU we had a shelter system.... the food was circa WW2 - I know this from 3 guys that got busted down there over Spring Break.

PRIVATIZATION is the modus operandi for most of America.... If you can afford to build, or have space to build, or know where to go, It's ALL COOL. If not, the Gov't doesn't give a rats ass.
