Biden, Edwards Refuse to Sign Anti-Torture Pledge
"...Technically, Clinton did not sign the pledge. Instead, she sent a letter outlining her principles and broad agreement with the group's stance, in a manner similar to responses sent by Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., and former senator John Edwards, D-N.C..."

Thought Edwards and Biden deserve some exposure as well as Clinton.

1. FAIR ENOUGH. I AM ALSO WONDERING ABOUT THE "PLEDGING" THINGHIE -
how is it a "gotcha" or really revealing...
I mean, they all had good answers on it at the last debate - I doubt that they don't all want to do the right thing on that.

2. purposely misleading subject line
"With Sen. Barack Obama's commitment on Tuesday, all of the Democratic candidates except Clinton had signed off on the commitment, a situation that left leaders of the group frustrated."

This is straight from the article. They Had signed off on it.

5. Ah, that explains it
Someone wrongly represented Senator Clinton's stance so, to right that, you post similiar misrepresentations about others.

Brilliant. :eyes:

13. Not from me.
I however, have not read the letter from her. If it agrees in principle with the pledge request, I have no problem.

this was posted on the AFC website, and since then Obama and Clinton also have sent letters.

WASHINGTON – The American Freedom Campaign is pleased to announce today that six of the presidential candidates have provided the Campaign signed statements, indicating their commitment to protect and defend the Constitution. Former Senator John Edwards and Senator Joe Biden sent signed letters outlining their positions, while Governor Bill Richardson (D-NM), Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT), Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-OH), and former Senator Mike Gravel (D-AK) signed the "American Freedom Pledge." The American Freedom Campaign (AFC) Action Fund is encouraging all candidates to sign this pledge, the text of which is as follows:

"Former Senator John Edwards and Senator Joe Biden sent signed letters outlining their positions"

Hillary was met with skepticism for doing that.
