It's never too late to embrace the truth, folks.

1. Not all of Tweety's personalities have been integrated yet.
Let's not get too hasty here.

17. He's still working on bringing "Sadie" into the fold.
She has a penchant for dressing up as a Victorian wench, and if "Sadie" is present, that can present problems for "Chris" when he's in his "journalist" mode.

I've seen him say a word or two and then back down to kissing the Godfather's ring after a while.

10. I've never found him as bad as so many duers have. There are
a heluvalot of rw tools posing as reporters out there, and he's not one of them. No reporter is going to be perfectly satisfactory all the time. At least not for us. Oh, except Keith Olberman. And Jon Stewart. No matter how much he protests to being only a comedian, he reports more truth than most of the msm.

11. Mr. Matthews
has opposed the war in Iraq from day one. Joseph Wilson would not have been warned that the White House was involved in an organized "get the Wilsons" campaign, except Chris called him. We would not have had the Plame scandal investigation go in the direction it did, including the exposure of the role of the OVP, without Chris Matthews. Our friend David Shuster would not have made the reports he did, without Chris Matthews' direction. And the reporting on MSNBC about the efforts of the OVP to spread the war to Iran -- a topic on Hardball for over a year -- are a result of Chris Matthews.

Chris does, from time to time, say some things I disagree strongly with. I think it is good to call him on them. But it is interesting to note how there are a few folks who seem to attack Mr. Matthews as much on progressive democratic forums, as is done in neoconservative tea parties. I think that they sometimes confuse progressive democrats into thinking that Mr. Matthews has not been reporting the truth about the nature of the war in the Middle East, and the evils of the OVP/OSP/WHIG. Of course, that is their goal.

I just find him annoying and frustrating to watch. And what's with the Republican man-crushes he gets?

13. His Problem Is He's TOO Close And Immersed In The Same Bubble
Edited on Fri Oct-05-07 12:48 PM by Beetwasher
As those he's reporting on.

"On a side note: Matthews was overheard discussing his Tuesday appearance on "The Daily Show," which featured a heated exchange with host Jon Stewart. According to one source, Matthews was steadfast in his belief that the debate left Stewart crestfallen, and Matthews victorious."

If he really believes the above he's delusional.

He's too caught up in the whole "image" thing. His comments regarding the "manliness" of Repubs and the "impact" of Chimpy's photo ops, like the carrier landing, which at the time he gushed homoerotically over and thought it was brilliant (and was so wrong it's ridiculous), his goggle eyed praise of Thompsons "machismo", is quite frankly, sickening. He's blinded by his immersion in that world.

As the quote above shows, he doesn't get it. His book is appalling in it's machiavellian under (over?) tones. Indeed, Stewart WAS crestfallen, that's the point. Stewart found it sad and appalling that THIS was the type of thing that apparently mattered and still does to Tweety (and most of the press "corpse" and Traditional Media). Image, lies, whatever makes you a success is all that matters. Style and WINNING over substance and ideals.

So now Tweety is speaking out because Bushco. dared, DARED! to try and limit HIS freedom. Now, finally that it's personal, it's appalling to him and he remembers the constitution.

18. he was like a crestfallen little boy who needed to be consoled in the JS show.
He is still looking for pity and consolation... and his denial of his crestfallenness is his way of exacting pity from people.

15. Timmeh is Tweety's boss. I wonder how this "admission" is going
to go over with him. Of course it does explain a lot about Russert...UNLESS, maybe Timmeh's had it also and gave Tweety the sweet job of "breaking up" the relationship with Cheeney...Who knows.

in the run up of the Illegal Invasion of Iraq. "Mr. Matthews has opposed the war in Iraq from day one." H20 Yes, that is correct. Tweety does veer all over the place on other topics & at times kisses RWing asses, such as Tom Delay's ass, but he has been consistent regarding the Illegal Invasion of Iraq.
