Stacey's Obituary
Edited on Fri Oct-05-07 01:59 PM by Flabbergasted
Stacey xxxxxxxxxxxx
34, beloved wife, mother

Thursday, October 4, 2007

Stacey xxxxxxxxxxx died on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007 at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.

Born in Edison, she lived in Old Tappan before moving to Denville six years ago.

She was a liquidation manager, employed by Hanover Direct in Weehawken for the past eleven years.

Her spirit and laughter made her a friend to all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed by all.

Go in peace, Stacey.

(I hate to even bring this up, but I wonder if this is "real" enough for some people)

5. of course not -
they probably think the funeral home was bribed to have the listing on their website, too.

Some people are just sick.

7. The funeral home was not bribed...
...it is a well-known front for the Bavarian Illuminati. In fact, the entire nefarious plot most likely originated there. :tinfoilhat:

8. If you hate to bring it up, then DON'T BRING IT UP.
It's sickening to watch this death being used as a chip in some sick kind of multiple board skirmish. I think some people here actually get their jollies by being involved in either side of this, whether as one who hasn't believed the story, or as one who admonishes those who haven't believed it.

The big question is: WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE WHETHER OR NOT OTHER BOARDS BELIEVE IT?

Ignore people who behave other than the way you think that they should. Don't drag any of it into an obituary thread at DU. What you (and a few others here) are doing, by constantly harping on what "that other board" is saying, is as offensive as what they are saying.

21. What the fuck are you talking about?
What "other boards"? I'm talking about people on THIS board. I'm not aware of any "other boards" - sorry, I don't get intimately involved with the bullshit cliques here or elsewhere.

Your response to ME is really offensive, by implying that it's okay for anyone to have impugned OMC during this awful time in his life. I don't give a shit if you like him or agree with him; this is tasteless. I never saw you on ANY of the threads about his wife, so for you to jump in with moral indignation now strikes me as more than a little fishy.

22. I agree...to bring that kind of thing up in an obituary thread
is feeding the trolls in the worst possible way. They don't deserve a shred of recognition or acknowledgment from us here.

4. Was there more to this ? Anything about her being a wife and mother, daughter and sister?
It seems odd the way it is cropped. It doesn't seem, the way it is cropped like something OMC would have submitted. Surely she was more important than her "job"?

24. Life goes on, I forget why
For OMC and his little daughter, strength, peace and resolve. The first days are the longest and the hardest,
they never end, they just blur together, you wake up in the middle of the night crying and you feel like
you lost your heart somewhere, maybe on the way back from the hospital and people talk to you about funeral
arrangements like you should be planning a party, what clothes to pick out, how many days to have, it
goes on and on with meaningless chatter and everybody wants to talk with you when you are just numb,
numb and people say 1 million stupid things and you realize that your heart was not left behind somewhere
cause you can feel it breaking. And your teeth start to chatter and someone hands you a whiskey and says
drink this cause you're going into shock, and you do though it tastes like liquid fire but you feel a little
removed then and the chatter just sort of bounces off. But the days pass and each day is better and the numbness
wears off in time and then one day you realize that the important thing was not that they died but that they
lived and were part of your life, that you had time to spend part of life's dance with them and the laughter,
the kindness and maybe some of what was best about them; you carry around with you.

This is what I figured out but everybody is different, even here at DU.
