Yeah, she broke the rules big time. She doped and that makes her a dope and she probably deserves what she gets.

But DAYUM!

How fucked are we as a country that we might be sending her to prison while the biggest ongoing criminal enterprise the world has ever know goes on unchecked?

And even if that ongoing criminal enterprise didn't exist, I'd still feel VERY badly for Ms. Jones. Bleeding heart bad.

Sue me. I'm a sap.

4. I feel badly for her, too.
If she did take banned substances, she was wrong.
The IOC can take the necessary actions.

But jail? I think that's over the top.

I guess I'm a bleeding heart liberal, myself.

9. I would
have to condemn her, not to jail but the steroid use and the impact she's had on young athletes. She has always said she never used the drugs but now we see different. Loosing the medals is a bad thing that in deserved in her case. Remember, we put these people on Wheaties boxes.

12. I'm not a huge Stewart fan, but putting her offense....
and the offense of Jones, up against the financial rape and pillage of America by the Neo-Cons, the war profiteers and the Greed-is-Good crowd, I think jail time is a travesty.

14. Did yu happen to see her public apology on Countdown?
"Powerful" doesn't do it justice. She's either very glib or very sincere. I read nothing BUT 'sincere' in it.

19. I really don't think incarceration is the answer. I think she should be
tormented by her dishonesty. It would bother me to until I died wondering if I could have competed and won without the drugs. Surely, the gold medals don't really mean anything to her since she cheated to get them. What if she could have won them without cheating? Whoever convinced her that she had to have that shit should face similar or worse consequences. They convinced an impressionable young woman that she wasn't good enough without the junk.
