Need DU Help! .I'm buying stuff in my local Food Lion Store..and there's song "Are We Crazy" playin
Edited on Fri Oct-05-07 06:59 PM by KoKo01
playing from "Clear Channel" that my local "Food Lion" Grocery Store always has playing...but THIS TIME...I'm rolling Grocery Cart and hearing a "Composite Album" which sounds like Cher and Friends doing an Anti-War/Anti-Bush Song...something that sounds like "Are We Crazy!"

I came home and did a GOOGLE to search for New Cher Albums and came up dead...then I put in "Are We Crazy, Anti-War, You Tube Video's" and came up Dead...then DID...."Are We Crazy," Anti-War Songs, Amazon, New Release" and came up dead...

Has anyone heard some new "Iraq Invasion Tune from Cher and Others" that you could help me find? It was an INCREDIBLE TUNE...I shopped longer under the "Overhead Speaker" in the store to try to listen...but when I came home and searched ...alas...I couldn't find ANYTHING... in my many searches!

Has anyone else heard such a song...and can you steer me to where it is?

Many Thanks ...if you can!!!

1. wow. I thought it was something when folks called home on the cell phone
to get advice about which cereal to buy. I thought that was a strange.

But posting onto DU about the musak from the grocery story...it's obvious that the torch has passed to a new generation.

3. First time I heard Dylan's "Masters of War" it slammed me up against the wall and left me gasping.
Some of us just have very strong reactions to music.

Has nothing to do with cereal.

4. Hey! there's a song from the Hillers in Ann Arbor I've been trying to find
for years. It's called "The Monkey Band". Over by the banana section, they have a stuffed monkey and a CD player. At random times, a sort of snare drum sound comes on, and the monkey starts playing the drums, and they play a song about a monkey band. I don't know what it has to do with bananas, but it's one of my favorite things in the world.

12. Thanks...I'll Check it out...the first Neil Young..song wasn't "IT" but this is good list
to Bookmark. The song I heard was "quiet and haunting." Not hard rock...more pop...soft...sad but with urgency.

6. Food Lion is not American owned. It is owned by the Delhaize Group
of Brussels, Belgium. Perhaps the song is not in English.

8. Um....I'm Anglo and was raised with English...and Latin. You are saying I heard it in
something other than English Speech? WOW...that's really incredible...that you would even ask that.

7. I thought you needed help because you're in a Food Lion.
Those were always the nastiest stores in Nashville.

9. They save me money...I know what to buy there...but the music in the store
has changed from Clear Channel Hard Rock...to Clear Channel Soft Rock in the past few months. This song was Anti-War...and for Clear Channel and Food Lion to broadcast it...seemed important...and I wanted to know if Cher had done a new album with other Anti-Iraq Invasion Singers. It sounded good...great...it was a song that had me fighting back tears as I passed by the cat food section....

If it hit me that way...what about the rest of the shoppers? Huh?

10. Is this it? Nogrammy "Are We Crazy"
"Are we crazy, let's make peace not war...."

Doesn't sound like Cher, tho.
