When he exited the bathroom stall, Senator Larry Craig never flushed ...

1514 related articles » WOW, the MSM is really running with this story NOW--no more low numbers.

I admit, this story is a RIOT! I even am asking, "Where's the TP he picked up, in the evidence locker?"
It is a lot more fun than a WAR, dead Americans, millions of Iraqi refugees, lies, deception, torture, and all that goes with Bush/Cheney.

BUT, let's put the spotlight on DISTRACTION.

Is this story a useful distraction for the Republicans?
Are they using Larry Craig to keep the debate on IRAQ on hold?

1. Most want Craig to crawl back to Idaho and quit the Senate!

2. It's a twofer for the RW Wurlitzer..
1) They want Craig the hell outta there, sooner = better. (and the coverage confirms this - like with the splash banner reading Bathroom Senator vows to stay.- -obvious, much?)

2) It is also a titillating distraction from the hard battles being waged in DC about FISA rulings, the SCHIP veto and other stuff that the public might actually be interested in, if it was covered....

3. Sadly, they'll always air something to distract us...
from the real issues. Americans don't feel too much like shopping if there's war pictures and unpleasant discussions about the morality of torture on the teebee. I hope they run and run and run with the Craig story. LOL!

4. U R correct. There will always be something employed for distraction.
In that context, this seems the wrong issue, since it is a negative for the Rs.

So, where is the piece of TP anyway?
