If you don't like it and don't approve of it....here are a few suggestions |
|
I just do NOT get all the social/political issues that the Repigs and the RWs are so up-tight about. Here are a few examples that seem real simple to me:
1. You don't approve of abortion? Don't have one.
2. You think homosexual acts are immoral? Don't engage in these acts.
3. You think universal health care is socialism? Pay for your own private health insurance.
What the hell gives with these social and moral Neanderthals that they think their backward opinions are the end all and be all for EVERYONE??

1. Read John Dean's "Conservatives Without Conscience." |

With authoritarian personalities, it's all about fear and control.

....and I am wondering basically which came first with these people: The RW church or the fear and control problems.
BTW: I think John Dean is great and I will ck out that reading. Thanks!

3. Well, there's a righteous attitude with that personality type, so I guess... |
|
...churchgoing comes naturally. Too bad, really, the way they've twisted religion and its principles. It's an enlightening book. Enjoy!

You nailed it.
I'd the guess, ala Karl Rowe, those issues serve as great ways to divide people. Find differences people have and them play them against each other for your own political gain.
What this country needs is a real "Uniter" not a fake uniter who created more division in this country than we've seen in 30 years....

He IS the Great Uniter. Look at how he has united everyone against his administration.

those who are really opposed to socialism do not drive/ride on public highways, or send their children to public schools.

9. 1 & 2 make sense, but 3 doesn't. |

I'm for single-payer, gov't-provided health care, but if I were against it, the point would be that, whether I paid for my own private insurance or not, I would also be paying for yours.
