RW Media Machine want Tweety pulled from Repub Debate
I'll go along with that - let's replace him with Olbermann! Now that's one I wouldn't miss.

Today's NYPost opinion page follows up on Chris Matthews' comments Thursday night at the Hardball 10th anniversary party, asking:

"...why should any Republican candidate expect fairness from Matthews now? More to the point, why should potential voters expect Matthews to treat the candidates' views fairly?
Matthews and Maria Bartiromo are moderating a GOP debate Tuesday that will be seen first on CNBC and later on MSNBC. The Op-Ed continues:

NBC needs to replace him as a debate moderator immediately. The job — by definition — requires an attempt to display objectivity going into an event.

Yes, the distinction between "objective journalist" and "opinion-maker" in recent years has been blurred to the point where they're nearly indistinguishable. But Matthews' comments obliterated any possible distinction.

Earlier this year, the Democratic presidential candidates refused to participate in a debate on Fox News on the grounds that the channel was "biased." That's baloney, of course — certainly the debate wasn't going to be moderated by Fox's prime-time opinion hosts.

2. I think it's pretty funny.
I wonder if Chris will go back to being a good little bootlicker from now on or will he pull an Arianna Huffington and get his own blog to trash the Republicans he was so enamored before.

18. I disagree: it must know a LOT about objectivity, otherwise, how could it constantly
avoid it?

6. And why the FUCK should the Dems
expect any thing resembling an intelligent moderator from the GE media-
whore, timmy russert?

The repukes don't care about "objectivity" unless it's their boys under scrutiny.

7. See what happens, Tweety, when you start speaking truth to power?
I guess the powers that be weren't happy with his remarks last Thursday. (Has anyone seen any film of this, or were cameras not allowed?)

9. But they were more than happy to have Repuke bootlickers moderate the debates...
What sniveling, smelly little whining bullies. They don't like it when they have someone stand up to them or fight back....They go running home to Daddy or Mommy crying that everyone is soooooo unfair...
To quote one of my heroes..EAT MY SHORTS!!!!

15. Went to the 1st game of the 1980 Series...
Edited on Sat Oct-06-07 07:59 PM by PCIntern
My dad of blessed memory said to me after that game, "You could have been born in 1880, lived to age 100, died in the summer, and never having seen a National League World Series GAME victory, to say nothing of the Series as a whole, in your entire life if you'd gone to every game played. You were most fortunate to see the one game." turned out even better than we had hoped!!

Some thought, eh?

17. I thank you...
he was a Pittsburgher and secretly rooted for the Pirates every year but he never once rooted for them in front of me against the Phillies. He knew it would have upset me exceedingly.
