Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton said yesterday as president she would push an immigration bill with a path to legalization that unites families.

"We've got to deal with immigration to be sure that we're going to get back to doing what is right and smart in America," she told members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.

She did say she would "cut the Latino dropout rate in half," spend $10 billion on universal pre-kindergarten and pass the Dream Act to give legal status to illegal aliens who go to college or join the military.

How many years has Clinton been in the Senate? During that time, has she introduced any substantive bills that became law?

I think the answer to the 2nd question is no. That being the case, why should anyone believe any of these vote-buying bills she’s coming up with on the campaign trail stand a chance of becoming law?

Even so, if these are such great ideas for America, why hasn’t she proposed them in the Senate already? What’s she been waiting for? Ha!

First off, she's a social liberal as regards abortion rights, programs for children, retaining Social Security without privatization, etc. Secondly, she voted against CAFTA, and actually has a mixed record on business.

Of course Freepers would love her appointments to SCOTUS and her largely pro-environment record.

And lastly,Although I am concerned about her record regarding the Iraq war and her recent vote for the Iran resolution, as well as her statement about not making a committment to have all troops out of Iraq by 2013, that's hardly evidence that she longs for endless war in the middle east.
