I would like to know if this story is being covered outside of NYC.

3. No, not that I can see. They had the article about Edwards
bringing up the connection on Friday, but it's now down the memory hole here (Houston).

The Clintons, it has been proved before, are powerful enough to kill unflattering news stories. Did you really expect it would be?

Do we really want another POTUS who is able (and all too willing) to control what we hear and see and read? That's the pertinent question.

7. What?
He does not spew propaganda. He does not twist the story to fit into his agenda. He tells the truth.

9. Exactly.
That's why I'd like to see Keith have David Shuster report on it, then have Keith discuss the issues involved with one or two guests. I agree that we could trust Keith to not spew propaganda or promote any agenda other than reporting on an issue that is of interest to democrats.

He could discuss why many democrats feel it is an important issue, and why others do not. We could trust him to keep it focused, and not allow anyone to try to spin it into an attack on John Edwards, or a low blow to Senator Clinton.

"He tells the truth." Exactly right.

10. perhaps he could do a story on the propaganda surrounding
Clinton's campaign and how the attacks that she endured for 13 years follow her. She must live by different rules and standards than the other candidates. And how, despite, labels of progressive and liberal, some have internalized the definition of her created by the vast-right-wing-machine.

11. On another thread,
on of DU's Clinton advocates met the story head-on, and in a manner that I thought deserved respect, if not agreement. The "poor us" strategy that attempts to identify the questions and concerns of the gras roots -- questions raised by another primary candidate -- as part of the great right-wing conspiracy seem less worthy of respect. You might be right that this is part of the story, but I'd rather see David and Keith focus on the specifics of the Clinton campaign's relationship with Mr. Penn.

8. That means the editors of your local paper
know a non-story when they see one. You should write and commend them.
