The only one there who even held a candle to her, intellectually was (I'm sorry to say) George Will. Shipman was clearly peeved! It was hilarious to watch her squirm as Vanden Heuvel was showing her up. I get the sense that she is accustomed to being the Token Cute Girl and not having any expectations to meet beyond that.
Her comment about Obama being unready because he gave a complex response to the flag pin thing was astonishing in its stupidity. But I have to remember that this is how these people think.
