"Arizona's minimum wage will rise 15 cents, to $6.90 per hour, Jan. 1 after a unanimous vote from the state Industrial Commission.

Arizona's Minimum Wage Act requires the commission to adjust the wage annually and pegs the shift to the Consumer Price Index.

The index increased 2 percent this year, according to the U.S. Department of Labor.

But instead of rising to $6.88 and a half-cent per hour, the law requires the state wage to round to the nearest nickel."

Not too shabby, that's an extra $6 bucks a week!!
