Fred Thompson is the 'dullest knife in the drawer' among Repub Candidates...
Edited on Mon Oct-08-07 07:03 PM by Blackhatjack
The list of adjectives to describe Fred Thompson is almost endless -- 'disengaged, lazy, confused, ignorant, dull, uninformed, unambitious, laid-back, wrong, ...."

And he is the second leading candidate according to the polls of Republicans?

Oh my! It may be painful for Repubs to watch... but Dems can only say 'bring him on......"

3. I heard Repubs liked the fact that he 'listens' rather than talking...
Of course, it is difficult to tell when he is 'listening' and when he is 'daydreaming or asleep.'

Listening is NOT a quality appreciated by Republicans!

You've just described the Republicans perfect candidate. The only thing Fred lacks is a daddy who once lived in the White House.

8. Any good chef knows a dull knife is far more dangerous than a sharp one.
Not kidding, the explicit form of that claim is absolutely true and so is the implicit one!

16. I've never cut myself on a sharp tool
Its always the dull ones that I've nicked myself with because they take more force to work, leading to inherent danger right there.

They are so sharp that they cut the skin with so light a touch that you can't even believe you cut yourself but the dripping blood says otherwise!!

13. Health issues
Thompson also has significant health issues. He should be made to name his running mate so that people will know who will fill his shoes if something happens to him.

25. Thompson is totally lost speaking without a script... Shuster on Countdown played one...
videoclip of his address to voters in Iowa. They were so glazed over and bored that he had to ask them to give him a round of applause at the end of his remarks, and then he said "I had to drag that out of you."

Typical.

28. Fred Thompson
Fred Thompson proposes universal movie coverage for all Americans

Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson today announced his plan to offer free copies of the movies that he has appeared in to all Americans.
Speaking at veterans halls in Iowa today, Thompson told those gathered that starting October first, his campaign office would begin giving away free VHS tapes of randomly selected moves that he has appeared in to any registered voter – Democrat or Republican - via his “Fred08” website........
