On a GORE/(Obama, Biden, Dodd, Richardson, Edwards, Kucinich) Ticket.

I have had dreams about it... I am hoping my dreams come to fruition.. HOPE.

4. That would include me - but if I'm stuck with reality then I'm voting for Kucinich
because he's the only candidate I see standing on principle, who is not equivocating.

I don't game systems. I don't respect people who game systems, and I don't choose who to vote for based on what the TV deems electable.

Since I'm a person who stands on principle I vote for people who stand on principle, if their principles fall in line with my own.

I have been surprised with how Kucinich's stand mirrors my own. Not to mention how much I seem to have in common with his wife.

I` m one of those waiting on Gore. But I`m still a little shocked at these results. There will be a lot of downhearted people if he doesn`t get in the race. Wonder which candidate we will join up with if our guy doesn`t run. It would be interesting to see a national poll on your DU poll.

12. The Wick Is Burning Low
It would make one of those great All-American political cliche' movies, wouldn't it? Gore being drafted at the DNC or something, rah-rah.

If he is harboring the slightest tug back toward the maelstrom, I would somehow intuitively trust and appreciate a random, inconveniently timed jump before I'd respect one of those high-profile, orchestrated declarations. I mean, that's the game, but, c'mon Al.

I think I'm going to go ahead and try to settle my alternate choice if nothing happens by the Nobel Awards.

17. Well, I guess I'm in the minority AGAIN!
I wasn't impressed with Gore's first campaign, and although I have seen him a few times come across as a real person, it's rare. He's still stiff, way too controled, and not himself in front of a mike! I don't understand it! He was in the Senate certainly long enough to have gotten over stage fright! What else could it be? I know I've heard a lot of people here say he's different now, but I don't see it.

You can hate it, and I do, but people vote for the person they look at and say "Hay I like him!" It really IS a minority that vote for positions, promises, or principles.

Nor is it a reason for Gore not to run.

I like Al and Tipper Gore. I think they are well out of politics, simply for their own peace of mind.

Global warming will be the least of our worries.

The only honorable thing for him to do, now, is to run, win, and put things right.

and as he has said since, "Unfortunately, there is no intermediate step between a Supreme Court decision and revolution."

If he runs, I and millions of others will be ecstatic, but I'd be the last to be p.o.'d at him if he decided not to run. The honorable thing for him to do is whatever he feels he should do. My feeling, tho, after reading TAOR, is that he loves this country's constitution too much to watch it slide into oblivion. That's why I think he'll run. :-)

Sure hope I'm right on this. I was just talking to my sister about Gore's potential candidacy. She pointed out that it wouldn't be like him to let the Draft Gore movement proceed as far as it has if he had no intentions of running. Recall he pretty much put the kabosh on "Draft Gore '04" back in '03. So there's another reason to keep our hopes up.

62. Here's a teaser from the article you link to...
"Promised real power as Bill Clinton's vice president, Al Gore found he had a rival for that role: the First Lady. And when Hillary decided to run for the Senate, a tense competition got ugly. In an excerpt from her new book about the Clinton White House years, the author reveals how conflicting agendas—the triangle of a scandal-ridden lame-duck president, the wife he'd betrayed, and his designated successor—sapped Gore's 2000 campaign as the bond between two couples dissolved into distrust, anger, and resentment."
