Isn't lying against the law when it comes to dealing with the government for any type contract
last week I watched the Waxman hearing with 'boy wanna be man whatever the fuck his first name is prince' of blackwater fame and he said he only had 1270 or so employees in Iraq with 800 some actually working in security. how is it ok for him to lie so? either he is lying to get the big contracts worth the millions his company is given or he was lying to the congress critters in that hearing.

maybe I'm misremembering the facts, the numbers or something, in a way I kinda hope so as he hasn't been called on any of it yet which would indicates to me thats its bidness as usual
we are so screwed blue and tatooed

4. I hear that.
It may not be soon enough for all of us but we, America, will bounce back from this nightmare and we will be much stronger for this than we were going into this sleep mode. I truly believe we will rise to the occasion so as to put a stop to this before its too late. Americans are waking up more and more each day

Yes tonight it will be brown beans and ham with fried taters fried in the bacon grease from breakfast mind you and maccroni and cheese, oh can't forget the cornbread cooked on the big green egg now can I. ;-) come one come all, if theres not enough to feed everyone I always have some franks in the freezer I can thaw out.

2. So we pay how many millions / billions for 1270 people?
Somethings not right there.
Either he's flat out lying about the numbers (he's a puke after-all)
or we're paying way, way, way too much for these guys.
Probably a combo of both.
Either way, we'll never know.

3. Parsing, maybe? Define "employee...."
If you have a single employee who manages a subcontract that employs hundreds, those subcontracted personnel are NOT 'your' employees.

DOD does this all the time, often with their computer geeks. It makes it easy to jettison them without having to pay them benefits. Use 'em up, wear 'em out.

I didn't see the hearing, I am distant from cable tv now, so I don't know the details. But that's one way that is common--and the guy wouldn't be lying, even if the subcontracted personnel are a thousand times the actual employee number.

7. All those filipinos and Koreans who sweep, make beds, cook food and so on?
They aren't 'employees' either. Neither are the Jamaicans at Gitmo--they're 'contract workers' and paid less than minimum wage, often.

12. Yep, put all the dough up front. That's why the Blackwater types get so much money.
They've gotta arrange their own benefits...to include retirement.

15. One person does "two" jobs. So Blackwater bills for two people. Example, someone who drives
is billed as a Driver and Security.
