30. That means you need to do more research |
|
Paul is a libertarian who believes in complete deregulation of all corporations, the abolition of Social Security and Medicare, the abolition of all regulatory agencies overseeing food and medication safety, the abolition of all social spending.
He is also a rabid antichoicer.
The more you know about Ron Paul, the crazier he looks.
That he's right on this war is pure coincidence.

|
Edited on Tue Oct-09-07 04:47 PM by Snarkturian Clone
If it's got to be ONE of those whackjobs, let it be Paul. Repukes will be divided if he gets the nomination and we'll win. If he wins, you'll get the same as all the other repukes except the war will end.
edited to add: he may be a racist sexist homophobe but at least he tells you upfront. Compared to the other repukes, he's Judge friggin Reinhold.

36. He's a big supporter and booster of state's rights..... |
|
with regard to passing legislation in states that would override conflicting federal laws.
That would include legislation intended to rollback civil rights with regards African-Americans, women or any other issue a powerful group of narrowminded people could bring to the floor........
I realize I'm painting with a very broad brush, but my GUT tells me that Ron Paul believes that United States exists to serve the interests of European-Americans.

but they say the same things over and over again - and it's just as crazy the first time they say it as every other time...and I'm amazed that their supporters hear anything else but blather.
I know it's a winning tactic...constant repetition ...but I'm the kind of person that if you're going to lie to me or blow smoke up my ass, make it good..original..creative. Not gonna believe you but at least it's new
I listen for things not said...which to my thinking, says more than what they do say....

41. I think - could be wrong - he feels abortion isn't a Federal issue, but rather a |
|
state issue. I know he PERSONALLY opposes abortion, though.
I'm not sure I'd disagree with having Social Security be voluntary. Mandatory IS another example of the government taking away our free choice. I'd have to think about it.

Not only is he the most sane (and he's batshit crazy, so his sanity tells you more about the Republican party today than anthing else)
But I think we can at least trust him with the welfare of the nation, just not social security, the department of labor, and other hard right libertarian issues he takes issue with
But he is sane comapared to the rest
