If we lose the 2008 GE, who will you blame? |
|
Edited on Thu Oct-11-07 12:19 AM by BullGooseLoony
I know who I'd blame, although I guess it's who I always blame. Because it's always their fault.
The freaking MSM.
If we lose in 2008, it will because Sen. Clinton was our nominee, and if Sen. Clinton is our nominee it's because the MSM decided it should be her. If she gets the nomination and loses, I will never forgive those assholes.
The media truly should know by now the responsibility that they have. They can't pull this crap election after election and then blame the Democrats for "nominating" a bad candidate.

I continue to be baffled at how some folks refuse to acknowledge what they don't want to see. I want a true DEM in the White House.
You may recall, there was also a select group of Dems that were very confident Dukakis would win...
Though not even the first primary vote has been cast; things could change and I will do all I can to help them do just that!
Of course, Al Gore could do it in a heartbeat!

I'm hoping the Repukes will nominate Ghouliani and that the rumored anti-choice third-party candidate will siphon away plenty of Republican votes.
But with the way Repukes tend to rally around any creature with an R in front of its name, I do worry.
Hillary has so many negatives, esp. in the west, I just hope that the Repukes won't be able to use her against our other Dem candidates, the way the Dems will no doubt use Bush against those Repukes who supported him.

You need to leave some blame to the people casting votes for someone who is not the best candidate for our future.

If you believe you're better off today than you were only 6 years ago, then you deserve more debt, more war, more money going to big business instead of domestic programs... How long are the American people willing to be a tool.

Really, cause (blame) is based on a result from an action or event. That action or event has yet to transpire, is your intent to circumvent the cause to produce a different effect by acting upon the event that is to come?
The magnitude of a election gone astray can not lie in only one cause, it is multidimensional like a person, Sen. Larry Craig for example... what led to his wild bathroom antics is very complicated as is an election, the subtle nuances are far beyond finger pointing. I will begin with myself and end with myself in blaming. I will do all that I can to ensure a knowledgeable, informed and fair election. A government by, for and of the people, I am one of those people and so is every other citizen in the great nation. Do what you can.

11. If we lose, blame can only be cast at the feet of we, the voters. |
|
There is little sense in presupposing defeat, and even less sense in pre-assessing blame. It is far better to get the message out and get the vote out, without being all defeatist and whining in advance.

place around the country, easily hackable, the republicans purging the Dem voting rolls and Dems still doing nothing about any of it - The bullshit Holt bill certainly isn't the answer....and finally the voters, who are so swayed by television on who to vote for and believing the polls as the reason to vote for a candidate the republicans are drooling for to bring out their voters with hate & fear of that candidate....certainly the republicans aren't just sitting idly by and hoping....they are always working on all of their slime tactic they'll use while keeping it all in the background.

crazy and compromising on candidates because of fear of "electability" issues..."Oh no, we might lose the GE so we better back hillary even though Kucinich is the candidate we want."... It's bullshit. After the horror of the Bush administration Dems will win the presidency by default. So whomever wins the democratic nomination will win the presidency...period. Stop making people paranoid with this bullshit of what if...

20. There are other ways we could lose in 2008 |
|
Eruption of a third party of disgruntled Democrats and disgusted independents, for example. It's happened before.
It looks to me at this early date the most likely contest will be Clinton v. Giuliani. It may turn out that we lose simply because it turns out that people despise Giuliani less.

33. Attacking Hilliary is a Pub Plot...so is attacking the Dem Congress and Nancy |
|
Its all about deep conniving and Plotting by them Pubs.... they send an army of their peeps to divide and conquer....Many are paid to do this...
Remember Carl Sheeler?
He came to DU as a DEM asking for help to impeach Bush ...wanted monies to run for R I Senator and for his Billboard? and when he lost the Primary to Whitehouse...he went over to support the Republican candidate...who lost. Carl had revealed himself to be a Pub in Dems clothing...a true DINO...
The Pubs are insidious as termites...they come to destroy by undermining...
Divide and Conquer is their tactic

We had a chance to bring to light the skulduggery of this mis-administration. But they've ignored subpoenas and flaunted their lawbreaking. What do Dems do? Write letters. Hold hearings that go nowhere.
In '06 voters voted for action. Nada.
