AF's top civilian takes Battelle post
http://www.daytondailynews.com/n/content/oh/story/news/business/2007/10/11/ddn101107may.html

In August, Robert J. May Jr. ended a 38-year Air Force career by retiring as a top civilian administrator who helped oversee more than 450 aeronautical acquisition programs with an annual budget of $27 billion and nearly 11,000 employees.

A month later, he joined Battelle Memorial Institute as an executive in charge of developing new business with the Air Force.

WOW - A BRAND NEW JOB - WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE??????????

Federal law restricts the relationships that former government officials may have with government agencies they have just left.

"I am prohibited from dealing directly with the Air Force for a year," he said. "I can work behind the scenes."

Guess his Batelle sales and marketing germ-teams can just drop his name out of their B-52 mouths, while he gets a hefty check, and set up appointments for face-to-faces NEXT year????? Ahem, yeh, right. What to do for a whole year? Manage the office wine and dining reservation list??? The off-book shush funds???
