to consummate the marriage or withholding affection was cause for divorce. It's what (most) people in most cultures expect when they get married. Hey, it may not be your personal thing, but there are people for whom age isn't a big deal, nor are they so shallow as to base their opinion on looks. I knew a wonderful man whose wife was thirty when they married. He had his first child a year later, when he was seventy. Oh, and he wasn't rich either.

I was in a committed relationship for a number of years with a woman twenty years my senior, and she was by no means rich. However she was fun, vibrant, and a wonderful caring person.
